The Historical Tea & Dance Society
is delighted to present our annual favorite “three-for-one” afternoon!

Sunday, October 8th, 2023
Dancing & Tea with
caller/choreographer
Alan Winston

Featuring music by
Jeffrey Spero, Audrey Knuth Jaber,
and Anna Patton

Our guest Alan Winston has been devising and creatively interpreting country dances for nearly 30 years, and has been lucky enough to collaborate with some fabulous composers. His choreography is informed by his knowledge not only of English country, contra dance, and Scottish dance as done today, but of historic sources for Regency and Victorian dance. Along with three musicians who are considered some of the best in the country, it will be an afternoon not to miss!

* This event funded in part through a grant from the Country Dance and Song Society (CDSS.org).

Join us for Historical and English Country dancing.

Love Jane Austen, Bridgerton, The Gilded Age, and other historical movies and events? You will love Tuesday nights in Pasadena where we teach dances from history on into modern times. This dance style is alive and growing! It is an exciting world of upbeat dances to joyous tunes and also lovely slower moving dances to unexpected music that will surprise and delight.

We welcome beginners to come and experience what this world of balls and tea dances is all about and how much fun it is.

Costumes are not worn to our casual Tuesday night dances.
Come join us on the dance floor, make new friends, get a little exercise mid-week at our Tuesday night dances!

Arrive on time as we jump right into easy dancing.
We will have you up and happily “footing it” in no time at all.
