THINGS TO KNOW
ABOUT OUR OUTDOOR SUMMER BALL:

What to bring?
• Lawn blankets or table and chairs are highly recommended for sitting. No chairs will be provided at this venue.
•Though water, punch, and light snacks will be served, we recommend you bring a picnic dinner. No alcohol is allowed as this is a public park.

What to wear?
• Jane Austen or “calico ball Victorian” attire suggested due to the outdoor nature of this event. Costumes? Only if you wish!
As always historic costumes are admired but not required.
We do request outdoor-appropriate “formal” wear for this occasion.
(For example: Tuxs are not appropriate however vest and/or suit jackets are.)

> IMPORTANT COSTUME NOTE <
If you are planning on wearing a long dress please bring safety pins or other means to hitch up your skirt if it drags on the lawn. As an example, it can be challenging to back up in a floor length skirt (especially so on a lawn surface). Please do not wear anything that would impede you, or others, while dancing.
>>> No trains, tails, or high heels!<<<
