A Springtime Tea Social with Jenny Beer!
We are thrilled to welcome our wonderful guest caller, Jenny Beer, for our Springtime Tea Social!
Nationally-known and world-loved Jenny Beer is a caller, dancer, and choreographer visiting us from Philadelphia, PA. This fall she will celebrate 50 years of country & folk dancing! She teaches English Country Dance regularly, Scottish Country Dancing off and on, and is currently organizing a brand-new contra dance series. Once upon a time she was privileged to serve as VP of the CDSS board, which led to visiting many dance communities across the continent. Perhaps you have already enjoyed Jenny's popular dances, including Key to the Cellar, The Minor Spaniard, Ties of Love, and The Cobbler's Hornpipe.
For our Springtime Tea Social, Jenny will offer a mix of accessible dances -- calm and lively, elegant and carefree, old and new. There will be a bit of teaching and a lot of dancing!
Joining us for this engaging event is the band
STEPWISE
featuring musicians Olivia Breidenthal and Liam Lewis!
LOCATION:

Woman’s Club of South Pasadena
1424 Fremont Ave

April puts us in mind of Easter, Easter bonnets, and all things bright and colorful. Let's see who has the most festive Easter parade outfit for this April springtime party! (Bunny ears optional!) Though costumes are not required, wear anything that brings you joy!
Dancing, snacking, friendship...and Tea!
What a pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
We hope you will join us.

Love Jane Austen, Bridgerton, The Gilded Age, and other historical movies and events? You will love Tuesday nights in Pasadena where we teach dances from history on into modern times. This dance style is alive and growing! It is an exciting world of upbeat dances to joyous tunes and also lovely slower moving dances to unexpected music that will surprise and delight.
We welcome beginners to come and experience what this world of balls and tea dances is all about and how much fun it is.
Costumes are not worn to our casual Tuesday night dances.
Come join us on the dance floor, make new friends, get a little exercise mid-week at our Tuesday night dances!
Arrive on time as we jump right into easy dancing.
We will have you up and happily “footing it” in no time at all.
