Historical & English Country Dance Party

Springtime is arriving, spreading sunshine and the love of dance, and we are throwing a dance party to celebrate! Embark on a delightful journey of rhythm, movement, and connection at our Historical & English Country Sunday dance party!

An engaging dance event featuring a range of dances from 1650–2000s. Yes! English Country dances are still being created as a living history dance form! Our programs are designed for both beginners and experienced dancers alike.

Immerse yourself in a world of lively music, delightful tea, a potluck* spread, and the warmth of newfound friendships. Whether you're taking your first steps in this type of dance or seeking new challenges, our dance party promises an unforgettable experience for all!

COSTUMES? ONLY IF YOU WISH!
Of course, costumes are never required, and we like to encourage you to wear something that brings you joy! Perhaps something that celebrates springtime. Your favorite skirt you love to twirl in. Or that tie or cravat that makes you feel ever so gallant!
(With a reminder to avoid high heels, trains, wings, or anything else that drags, clunks, or sticks out, as these generally interfere with your dancing or the dancing of others. Thanks!)

FRIENDSHIP DANCE SCHOLARSHIPS
Friendship Dance Scholarships are available for all Historical Tea & Dance Society events.
Our community believes that dancing should be available for all. If you or a friend you know would be served by a Friendship Dance Scholarship, please reach out.

Love Jane Austen, Bridgerton, The Gilded Age, and other historical movies and events? You will love Tuesday nights in Pasadena where we teach dances from history on into modern times. This dance style is alive and growing! It is an exciting world of upbeat dances to joyous tunes and also lovely slower moving dances to unexpected music that will surprise and delight.

We welcome beginners to come and experience what this world of balls and tea dances is all about and how much fun it is.

Costumes are not worn to our casual Tuesday night dances.
Come join us on the dance floor, make new friends, get a little exercise mid-week at our Tuesday night dances!

Arrive on time as we jump right into easy dancing.
We will have you up and happily “footing it” in no time at all.

PLEASE NOTE:
> Registration and high quality masks (N95, KN95, KF94 or similar) are not required but are RECOMMENDED for our dances. <
> Vaccination is not required for these events. <
